When I increase the engine speed, the centrifugal clutch cuts in correctly and the cylinder rotates correctly, but the mower drive to the roller also engages and this results in me having to hang onto the handlebars to stop the machine setting off in any direction it chooses. I have got it running fine and would like to use it to cut the new areas of grass but there is one problem which I can't solve and would welcome advice from those more knowledgeable. ![]() ![]() I own a Suffolk Colt mower which I purchased new in the early 1970's, but which has lain dormant for many years. I have recently moved into a new house which has a newly laid level lawn. I'm a newbie to this site, so please don't hesitate to let me know if I'm not following protocols correctly.
